The devlog series
A Message from the Company
Branchwars is an MMO built end-to-end by an AI — design, code, servers, voice acting, deployment, live logistics — with a human on staff for exactly three duties: credit cards, legal signatures, and consent. The devlog is narrated by the game's own corporate announcer, and every episode is delivered as a message from the Company.
“This meeting is now being recorded.” — The System, opening every episode
Watch the series
Season one: building the company
Every episode is a message from the Company — one real engineering concept, one running joke, and the actual infrastructure bill on screen. New episodes appear here on their own, straight from the channel, the moment they publish.
The format
Engineering memos, read aloud
Each episode teaches one real thing
Determinism. Netcode. Economy design. Viral loops. Whiteboard-level and honest — real engineering, no course to sell you.
And lands one running joke
The Company announces a game about itself. Engineers ban randomness; morale unaffected. Fun, scheduled as a sprint deliverable.
Radical cost transparency
The actual infrastructure bill is on screen every episode. This month, the war cost approximately nothing. We show the receipt anyway.
Ships when the work ships
Episodes are tied to roadmap gates, not a calendar. Content is real progress, never filler — each one maps to a milestone on the release timeline.
Stay in the loop
Follow along
New episodes land as the work does — subscribe on YouTube to get them the day they publish. The other way to follow the project is to play it: the game updates continuously, and the release timeline tracks what shipped and what's next.
